Crossway Fellowship Church in Manassas is teaming up with a
local U.S. ministry, Fulaa Lifeline International to raise money for their
orphanage, The Cornerstone Children’s Home. How the orphanage came to exist is due to the efforts of Pastor Samuel Juma and Cornerstone Church in Annandale, VA.  Pastor Juma and his wife, Esther Juma, came to this country as refugees some years ago, displaced by the war in Sudan.   Although
they came to our country with next to nothing themselves, they turned around
and worked to help other local Sudanese refugees get established in the
Northern Virginia area.  Once these folks got back on their feet here, Pastor Juma turned his attention to helping the people of his mother
country.  Fulaa Lifeline International is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Christian
ministry which he established to help orphans in South Sudan go to school, get medical treatment and housing.  An orphanage was built on the land that they own.  Pastor Juma travels back to the Sudan about 2 times a year to
assess what the current needs are at the orphanage.

Currently, there are two pressing needs at this time: the orphanage is in need of a drinking water well.  They started work on
one but it is only half-way completed and the funds are lacking to complete it.  The orphanage school also has a middle section which needs to be
completed so that it can be used for a classroom.

The church community yard sale is a popular annual event which highlights a particular mission and all the proceeds from the event go to
helping that mission.  The community is invited to shop or even host a
sale booth of their own (they pay for a booth and/or table, and the income from
that is donated to the ministry.) Both monetary and material donations to the church booth are also welcomed.

Pastor
Juma and Esther will plan to be at a booth that day to highlight the

work of Fulaa Lifeline International and how God’s people are meeting the needs
of the orphans there.  The public is encouraged to come and learn more

about this very worthy mission.
