Novec Says Be Prepared

With summer storms raging, Novec has some tips for staying safe!

With summer temperatures rising, the threat of summer storms is on the upswing too. Atlantic Hurricane season started on June 1. Novec has some guidelines for staying safe during storms:

  • Designate an appropriate storm shelter in the home.
  • Prepare an emergency kit with first aid supplies, flashlights, water, non-perishable food items and matches. Don’t forget the baby food or pet food.
  • Have personal identification ready to grab.
  • Keep cell phones charged.
  • Make sure Novec has current contact information to check on your power status.
  • If you have time, unplug computers and other appliances.

If the power goes out during a storm, call Novec at 1-888-335-0500 and avoid any downed power lines as they may be active. For more information about storm safety or Novec go to www.novec.com.
