Manassas Police Officer Struck by Vehicle

A Manassas police officer making a routine stop on Route 28 near Phoenix Drive was recovering from injuries Sunday after being struck by a vehicle.

The Washington Post reported the incident happened about 9 a.m. Saturday. The officer's injuries were described as not life-threatening.

The investigation caused the closing of one of the northbound lanes on Route 28, the Post reported.
