Oasis Salon and Spa Now Open in Manassas Park
Spa owner said she opened her business in Manassas Park because she saw the need for such services in the city.
Oasis Salon and Spa opened its premier store in Kent Village Square on June 18.
The business is located on Manassas Drive, just in front of the Manassas Park Police Department.
“We offer everything except for massages,” Fatou Sambe, an Oasis hair stylist said.

Oasis offers hair, nail, facial and waxing services. Many services are under $50 and most are under $20.
Although this is her first store, owner and operator Salina Islam has been in the industry for seven years. She decided to open a store in Kent Village off Manassas Drive because she saw a need there that wasn't being met.

She explained that one day while driving in her car, scoping out possible locations for her shop, she noticed the neighborhood.
“There was no salon within five miles, and not everyone in the community drives,” Islam said. So she figured it would make the perfect location for an affordable salon and spa, she added.
“Business is slow,” Islam said. She expected this since it is a new. To boost business, Oasis ran a Fourth of July promotion that offered 10 percent off any service until the holiday.
Oasis is open Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The business is closed on Mondays.
