New Town Homes in Manassas Park Go on Sale This Summer

Belmont Reserve, a brand-new town home community, is under construction in Manassas Park.

A brand-new townhome community in Manassas Park is expected to begin selling homes as early as next month, according to the builder, Ryland Homes.

Belmont Reserve, an 82-unit community under development at the corner of Andrew and Manassas Drives, is one of the first of its kind in the Park since the recession.

Developers and businessmen and women with ties to the city have long said more residents are needed in Manassas Park to draw in more businesses, something that city lawmakers are pushing for.

Homes in Belmont Reserve go on the market in July or August, said David Ramsey, director of land development for Ryland homes, the builder of the project.

Exact pricing on the homes hasn't been set, he added.

The rear-loaded units will face Manassas Drive, while the front-loaded units will face Andrew Drive, Vanessa Watson, the city's planning and zoning director said.

The community will bring four new streets to Manassas Park: Phita Lane, Isabel Lane, Christopher Lane and Alexander Way.

Most street names in new developments are based on personal ties with the owner of the property, she said.

The land was once owned by Lawrence Doll who appeared before council in late 2010 with a plan to develop a townhouse community called Glory Hill.

The Glory Hill project raised a lot of ire among residents. Read about it here:

Doll later sold the land to Emad Sadeeh who sold then sold it to Ryland Homes.
