Summer Movie Series: "Brave" Hits the the Big Screen Friday in Manassas Park

Gather under the stars at Signal Hill Park Friday for the movie  "Brave," this week's flick in Manassas Park's Summer Movie Series.

The animated film, released in June 2012, is about young Princess Merida, who is determine to make her own way in a royal world made up of age-old customs and pomp, according to Disney.com.

A perilous situation brought on by an ill-fated wish forces the young girl to learn what bravery truly is.

Catch the flick for free in Signal Hill Park at 7:45 p.m. Be sure to bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.

Can't make it on Friday? No worries. Catch the next installment in the summer movie series, "Rise of the Guardians" on Aug. 10.
