Ledo Pizza Teams Up with Santa Cops to Help Needy Children

Ledo Pizza hosts Cornhole Tournament to raise money for the Fraternal Order of Police's Santa Cops Charity for neglected and abused children.

All types of characters will descend on Liberia Avenue Saturday to raise money for Santa Cops, a charity run by the Fraternal Order of Police Battlefield Lodge #43.

Hosted by Ledo Pizza and Pasta, the event will have special guests like Barricade the Transformer Car and McGruff the Crime Dog.  Entrance into the Cornhole Tournament is $10 and contestants will test their skill at throwing bags of corn through obstacles.  In addition to the games and guests, there will be a raffle, face painting, balloons and door prizes from sponsors Budweiser and Pepsi.

Ledo Pizza owners Mark and Brenda VanPelt opened their doors in September of 2009 and have lived in the community for 30 years. “ We want to give something back to the community, and this is a great charity for kids who've been neglected and abused," Brenda VanPelt said.
