Mardi Paws: A Tail Wagging Good Time

Dogs and dog owners alike enjoyed a few hours in the sun at the Mardi Paws event at the Manassas Park Community Center

With the sun shining on a beautiful Saturday morning, dogs and dog owners alike enjoyed their play time at the Manassas Park Community Center.

From tiny long haired chihuahuas to large labs, the event was fun and everyone was greeted by all of the outgoing dogs just wanting to get out and stretch their legs.

The event is one of the fundraisers that the city is holding to help cover the expenses of a doggie park — something that is needed not only in Manassas Park, but in Prince William county as well.

Amazingly enough, once the dogs were off their leashes and free to sniff, chase balls and play, they got along very well with all of the other dogs. The event went off without a hitch (or even a nip) and everyone seemed to enjoy their time at the temporary doggie park at the Manassas Park Community Center.
