Manassas Park Street to Close Overnight Tuesday for Sewer Work

The work won't affect the Wednesday morning commute, Manassas Park officials said.

A portion of a main street leading from Manassas Park to neighboring Manassas will close overnight on Tuesday for sanitary sewer line work, according to the City Manassas Park's website.

Mathis Avenue will close between Conner Drive and Hardees Drive at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Drivers should look for detour signs posted in the area.
The road will likely reopen by the Wednesday morning rush, public works officials said.

The road closure will allow crews to work on the Liberia and Russia Interceptor Upgrade project, an initiative of the Upper Occoquan Service Authority (UOSA) which Manassas Park is a part of.
