Movie Review of Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Transformers Dark of the Moon brings back that age old rivalry of the Autobots and Decepticons.

:Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg’s third installment of the Transformers series was released Tuesday.  Transformers: Dark of the Moon brings back that age old rivalry of the Autobots and Decepticons. 

For those who are familiar with the cartoon series from the 80s and have seen the first two movies, the Autobots are the good guys and the Decepticons are the bad guys. 

In this third film, the Deceptions reveal their decade’s old plan to turn earth into the new Cybertron.  I won't spoil too much, but this film makes up for the lack of plot and story development in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.  Even though Dark of the Moon has been receiving bad reviews, this critic was very entertained with this film.

It's  on the same level as the first film, which is simply titled, "Transformers."  I think Bay learned his lesson from Revenge of the Fallen and I am sure Spielberg held a tighter leash on his director. This will not be a record-breaking weekend, but I am sure it will still create a huge cash draw.
