The newest office of Momentum Chiropractic recently opened near Gold's Gym in Manassas.
A Manassas chiropractic practice opened a new office on Liberia Avenue this month. The doctors of Momentum Chiropractic, in unison with neighboring business owners Bob Rawlins of Gold's Gym and Jodi Scholes of Commonwealth Massage, held a ribbon cutting and social for the office on Wednesday. The event was held at Commonwealth Massage and was attended by members of the Prince William County Chamber of Commence, elected officials and others. Patch blogger Susan Jacobs of Re/Max Gateway was named "Winner 01" and one an hour massage. Momentum Chiropractic has a second location in Old Town Manassas on Church Street. A Manassas resident and his sons invent a way for the community to keep a watchful eye on teen drivers.
Ever wish you could know how your teen is driving when you're not watching? Well, a Manassas-area resident and father of two has come up with a way to keep parents in the know. Robert "Bob" Fabian and his adult sons, Andrew and Jeffery, are the minds behind teendrivingsticker.com, a service that provides a bumper sticker with a short code that other drivers can use to report a teen's good or bad driving. They aren't selling the sticker but rather the service, which provides two years of monitoring for just $20, the Bob Fabian said. If another driver takes note of something, they enter the code on the website and leave a note, which is then sent via email to the parent of the child with that code. "It's the community being an extension of …

Recent inspection reports from local restaurants and food vendors.
You may want to know how area restaurants performed in their last Virginia Department of Health inspection. Restaurants in the Commonwealth are inspected between one and four times a year. There are two types of violations: Critical and non-critical. What's the difference? Critical violations, unless corrected, can contribute to "food contamination, illness or environmental degradation," according to the state health department. "In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations," according to Virginia Department of Health's website. The site continues: "Keep in mind that any inspection report is a 'snapshot' of the day and time of the inspection. On any given …

The company said it will work to place the laid-off employees in positions elsewhere in the company.
Telecommunications giant Comcast is set to cut 80 jobs later this year from its Manassas facility off University Boulevard, InsideNova reports. Also reported last week in the Washington Business Journal, the company also plans to move 78 Manassas sales jobs to its offices in White Marsh, MD. Comcast spokeswoman Aimee Metrick said the changes are part of the company's efforts to make it easier for its customers to do business. About 110 jobs will remain in Manassas, company officials said. Meanwhile laid off employees can apply for the 400 jobs Comcast has available in the Washington DC metro. A list of eight best-paying summer jobs. Provided by Jobs at AOL.
The following story was provided by AOLJobs.com By David Schepp Getting a summer job is a rite of passage for many young people. In addition to earning wages to help pay for tuition or make car payments, it's where many first-time employees learn the fundamentals of work -- showing up on time, teamwork, communicating effectively, managing workloads and more. But summer jobs can also be fun, giving teenagers an opportunity to bond and hang out with a group of people beyond their schools and neighborhoods. In recent years, because of the recession and subsequent slow recovery in the labor market, summer jobs have been hard to come by for many teenagers. This year, many economic indicators point to an improved job market, suggesting that …
