Video: Funeral Procession for Fallen Prince William County Officer
Hundreds of police, emergency, fire and county vehicles preceded and followed the hearse carrying the body of Officer Chris Yung on Friday.
Hundreds of spectators lined the streets of Prince William County on Friday to watch the hearse carrying the body of a fallen police officer slowly pass on its way to a private burial.
The thunder of hundreds of police motorcycles riding two-by-two announced the arrival of the procession as it made its way down University Boulevard to Freedom Boulevard and Wellington Road to the Prince William County Western District Police Station.
More than an hour before the procession arrived, people gathered along Manassas roadways leading to the station or up on the grassy knoll in front of the Freedom Aquatics Center to pay their respects to the late Officer Chris Yung, who died Monday in a crash just outside of Manassas.
The procession left Hylton Memorial Chapel in Dale City just after noon on Friday and drove through the county, briefly pausing at each of the Prince William County Police stations, the other one being the Eastern District Police Station, located on Cardinal Drive.
Yung will be buried during a private service in Albemarle County.
