Vehicle Stop Results in Drug Charge

Manassas Park Police release information on three crimes from last week, including a grand larceny.

The Manassas Park Police Department said a Haymarket man who was charged here June 10 with possession of marijuana was also wanted in Fairfax County for a similar offense.

The police department's press release states that Jeffrey David Anglin, 28, of Youngs Drive in Haymarket, was driving a 2001 Toyota on Euclid Avenue at almost 1 a.m. June 10 when officers stopped the vehicle. The officer discovered during the license and record check that Anglin was wanted in Fairfax County on a charge of  prescription fraud.

Police searched Anglin's vehicle and found marijuana. Anglin's court date is July 21.

Type of Offense:  Destruction of Property

Dates of Occurrence: 061011 2200 thru 061111 1809

Location:    100 Block Lambert Drive

Vehicles Involved: 2008 Ford Focus

While parked in front of  home, vehicle received extensive key marks on hood, passenger side and rear.  Passenger side tail light was broken and bumper appeared to have been kicked.   Bumper pushed to the point where passenger door would not open.   Victim did not hear anything nor know of anyone who would have caused the damage. No suspects.

Type of Offense:  Grand Larceny

Dates of Occurrence:  060811 0001 Thru 061011 1900

Location:  100 Block Pierce Street  

Victim reports cash and  prescription medication were stolen from home.  Others had access to residence.  Case active pending follow up.    Stolen:  $1,200. No suspects.
