The City of Manassas Park, Department of Parks and Recreation's 3rd Annual Doggie Paddle Signal Bay Water Park on Sept. 8.
This event is the perfect opportunity for you to bring your best furry friend for one final dip in the water before the park closes for the winter, according to the parks department.
"From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., bring your dog out to enjoy a playful romp, receive some tasty treats, and make some frisky new friends," said a release from the parks and rec department.
"Join local vendors, rescues, vets, and other friendly local businesses. Proceeds go towards the Manassas Park Dog. Admission is for this event $5 per dog but you’ll want to bring the whole family because owners get in for free! There is a limit of two dogs per handler."
To attend, the department requires a proof of vaccinations for your dog. To enter, patrons must provide proof of the following in order to be admitted into the park: Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies.
Dogs without the abovementioned vaccinations will not be allowed to enter, according to the parks and rec department.
The swim is for dogs only; owners and children won't be able to swim with their pups.
"All dogs must swim at their own risk. We want everyone to have fun. Any unruly or overly disruptive dogs will kindly be asked to leave. Female dogs in heat will not be allowed. Also, please remember to clean up after your pet- if everyone does their part we can all have a wonderful day," said a release from the parks and rec department.
