Police: Manassas Woman Confronted by Home Intruder

Prince William County Police said the woman came home and was met by a stranger.

 

A Manassas-area woman told police she arrived home on Tuesday evening and found a strange man in her house, Prince William County Police said.

It happened at 7:38 p.m. on the 8000 block of Ashland Avenue in the Manassas area of Prince William County. 

The woman told police she'd just walked in the door when she saw a man she didn't know inside her home.

The man saw her, then crawled out of a window and fled the scene, police said.

Officers along with a canine searched the area around the home but were unable to find the suspect.

The victim told police a computer, phone and other property were missing. The total value of the stolen goods is around $265.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Prince William County Police. Callers need not reveal their identities.
