Police: Alleged Assault Sparks Argument at Manassas Park Shopping Center
Police said the suspect pointed a gun at the victim because he thought that person hit his wife.
A Fredericksburg man was arrested Sunday after police said he pulled a gun on a man who he thought hit his wife.
The victim told police it happened at 10:47 a.m. in the Manassas Park Shopping Center Parking lot where a child was being exchanged.
An investigation later revealed the suspect hit the victim because he thought the victim hit his wife, Manassas Park Police reports show.
The suspect was arrested after leaving the scene when the victim called police and reported a man brandishing a gun and told them which direction the suspect was traveling.
The suspect is charged with brandishing a firearm. He was taken to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center and held on a $2,500 bond.
He is expected to appear in court on Nov. 15.
