Debris from the June 29 storm smashed the back windshield of this car parked in the Wellington neighborhood of Manassas.

Friday night was a tumultuous weather night for the Northern Virginia area. Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park were hit hard by power outages.

Dominion Power's interactive outage map shows that countywide, 76,912 customers are without power. For NOVEC customers, 8,529 Prince William County customers are without power. In Manassas Park, NOVEC's outage map shows 722 without power.

In Dumfries, a 300-year-old tree was uprooted during the storm on Friday.

My Verizon Phone, wireless, and cable are out. Do you have any idea when they woill be turned back on? I emailed Ask Verizon and was informed it would cost $28 to answer question

Manassas City residents should call Public Works at 703-257-8353 for downed power lines and fallen trees.

According to sources this storm claimed 9 lives, 6 of them being in VA

Wow, I am out of town and I have two houses. One on Reids Prospect and the other at the County Center. I havent been able to speak to no one to check the status..... I hope all is well. Very unpredictable weather.... Thanks for the postings.
