Missing Manassas Park Cockatiel Found in Centreville

A cockatiel reported missing in Manassas Park Saturday was found Wednesday in Centreville.

A missing cockatiel belonging to a Manassas Park woman was located in Centreville 10 days after it disappeared.

Lewis the cockatiel was located 10 miles from its Manassas Park home in Centreville by Fairfax County Animal Control late Tuesday and taken to a shelter, Joy Crickenberger, Lewis' owner told Patch on Wednesday.

Lewis is very sick and has been admitted to Pender Veterinary Hosptial in Fairfax for treatment, she said.

Crickenberger, who owns other animals, said she is thankful that Lewis was found and encourages others not to give up hope if they've lost a bird.
