Manassas Park Community Center Reopens After Water Main Break

Center closed early Wednesday evening because of the water main break, city officials said.

The Manassas Park Community Center is open Thursday morning after a water main break closed the building on Wednesday evening

Jennifer Deuterman, marketing director for the city's parks and recreation department, said the community center opened at 6 a.m., it's normal time, she added.

Manassas Park Department of Public Works crews worked late into the evening Wednesday to repair the water main break near 316 Manassas Drive, city manager James "Jim" Zumwalt said.

He expected the "devoted public servants" to have everything back to normal by daybreak, Zumwalt said Wednesday night.

Around midnight a resident sent an email saying he did not have water. I think everything was back to normal by daybreak Thursday.
