Police: Teen Charged With Assaulting an Officer

Arrest at 90 Degrees restaurant after drugs found in car, according to police.

Two officers were pulled to the ground Saturday in a struggle with a suspect at 90 Degrees restaurant in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police.

Carlos Alfredo Escobar, 18, of 3613 Keota St., Alexandria, is charged with assault and battery on law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic (cocaine), Prince William County Police reports show.

It happened at 10:11 p.m. when officers were patrolling the restaurant parking lot at 8509 Rixlew Lane.

The two officers noticed the smell of marijuana while speaking to the suspect who was sitting in a car in the parking lot, a Prince William Police report shows.

Marijuana and cocaine could be seen in his car and he was subsequently arrested, police said.

While officers were taking him into custody, Escobar reportedly began to resist arrest and ended up knocking himself and two officers to the ground.

The suspect wasn't injured but one of the officers suffered lacerations on his hand, according to police reports.

Escobar's bond and court date information isn't available.

Is this 18-year-old a member of some gang, or an illegal alien? Does he have relatives in the school system in Manassas (who might also be involved in drugs)?

Did you even read the story? He's from Alexandria. Are you wanting to buy drugs from him or his relatives (is that why you're asking)? Is his mom a white supremacist? We should investigate these questions since they affect the quality of life.

Please note that 8509 Rixlew Lane is in Prince William County and
not "in Manassas" as stated in the article. Hint, PWC Police are
conducting the investigation, not City of Manassas officers.

Hi Councilman Randolph :) Yes that is correct. it is not the city of Manassas proper, but rather the area out in the county known as Manassas.

So is this dude illegal? Get the facts if you are a journalist and report them. I'm guessing if he is and you know it you won't report it anyway. Figures.
