A bank founded in the 19th century in New York celebrated the opening a 21st century branch in Manassas on Thursday.
M&T's new, full-service branch at 9408 Grant Ave. follows suit with other financial institution by offering extended hours and night depositories, according to a press release issued this week by the company.
The bank is open 9 to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 to 1 p.m. on Saturday. The branch’s phone number is 571-921-1269.
The branch, lead by manager J.P Godoy, endeavors to lead a team who understands customers' needs and deliver solutions.
Residential mortgage customers will be served by mortgage lender Susan Surkamp. Business clients can meet with Godoy or business banker Gary Jones to discuss a customized strategy for meeting their financial goals.
In addition to traditional banking services, customers can also access the wealth management services provided by Wilmington Trust, an M&T Bank affiliate. Michael DeRosa, Vice President of Wilmington Trust, is available to meet with clients of the Manassas branch, according to the release.
“We have been investing in our branch infrastructure in Virginia to enhance our customers’ experience, and our new Manassas branch is a great example of that investment and commitment,” John Murphy, M&T Bank regional manager, said in a release. “We look forward to serving existing customers and attracting new customers with our high level of service and M&T’s wide range of banking products.”
M&T is the leading small business administration lender in Greater Washington and the sixth largest in the nation.
