Landscaping Equipment Disappears from Manassas Drive

The victim couldn't remember if the vehicle door was left unlocked.

 

A Manassas Park victim told police that someone stole two pieces of landscaping equipment from a vehicle parked on Manassas Drive late last month, Manassas Park Police reports show.

The victim said it happened sometime between 9 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 29 when someone went inside a 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck that was parked on the 200 block of Manassas Drive, police investigators said.

A Stihl backpack blower and a hedge trimmer was taken from the backseat of the vehicle, the victim told police. The items are worth a total of $735. The victim told police he wasn't sure if the car was locked.
