'Former Friend' Accused of Taking Victim's Car, Wallet, Gun
The suspect told police he woke up and saw his "former friend" standing in the closet in his bedroom.
A Manassas Park man was arrested after police said he took someone's wallet and their car without his permission.
It happened Oct. 8 at 4:40 a.m. on White Pine Drive when the victim was awaken by a loud sound and noticed the suspect — whom police called a "former friend" — standing in the closet of his bedroom, Manassas Park Police reports show.
The suspect ran from the house and the victim call E-911 and told dispatch his car, gun, credit cards, cash and his "overstuffed" black wallet were all missing.
Police later located the suspect and all the missing goods and charged him with: grand larceny of a firearm, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, credit card theft, two counts of petit larceny and drunk in public. He was held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center in Manassas on a $6,000 secured bond.
