City Council to Honor Park Center Automotive Owner David Ford

David Ford, owner of Park Center Automotive, will be recognized at tonight's Manassas Park City Council meeting.

Longtime Manassas Park mechanic David Ford will be honored at tonight's city council meeting.

Ford has owned and operated Park Center Automotive—just a stone's throw away from city hall—for more than two decades.

By many accounts, Ford is known in the Manassas Park area for his kindness to customers and his unique repair shop which boasts an eclectic mix of antique railroad lanterns, tea kettles and a hobby train that runs along the sides of the main room.

Most notable is the front end of an antique Ford Thunderbird curiously mounted on the wall.

In other news, Manassas Park City Council will also recognized August as National Breastfeeding Month and receive an update on Manassas Park City Schools from Superintendent Bruce McDade.
