Bruce McDade to Lead Manassas Park School District
Associate Superintendent Takes Reigns from Dr. Thomas DeBolt.
Associate Superintendent Dr. Bruce McDade will step into the role of superintendent of Manassas Park City Schools on Wednesday, Dec. 1
McDade was hired as principal of Manassas Park High School in 2001 and served in that position for five years.
During his tenure, test scores improved and the school won multiple football and wrestling championships, McDade said.
"We had some challenges," he said. "But Dr. (Thomas) DeBolt was with me every step."
In 2006, McDade became the associate superintendent of schools in Manassas Park.
"My goal is to ensure that the students of this school district receive the best education," McDade said.
The school district is very culturally diverse and the students deserve a high-quality education from a staff of teachers that is well trained, he added.
